Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a part of an industry-leading team of physical therapists at Results? We require extensive training of our physical therapists before they join our team and because of this, we have built a high-quality and friendly environment that is sought after by both patients and clinicians.
We take great pride in making sure that each member of our team highlights our pursuit in clinical excellence. With our focus on providing the best patient care possible, we do our best to make sure that we do all we can to enhance our skills, expand our knowledge, and attract and hire the best physical therapists across the country for our patients. Learn more about how we pursue clinical excellence at Results Physiotherapy!
As a baseline to practice as a physical therapist, you must earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education-accredited program as well as complete and pass a state licensure exam. Typically, the process of obtaining a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, or DPT is about three years. Oftentimes, you will be required to earn a Bachelor’s degree prior to entering a DPT program. During the DPT program, on average 80 percent is classroom training as well as lab studies. 20 percent of the program is clinical education.
Once a physical therapist joins the Results team, they receive more extensive training and participate in additional educational programs. We believe that each one of our physical therapists should focus on extending their education and training throughout their time with Results and career as a physical therapist. Because of this commitment to clinical excellence, our company provides top outcomes for our patients, as determined by Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes (FOTO).
With Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes, our performance is evaluated against other providers all over the country and we can then focus on improving areas where we need to further develop over time. How did we get here?
For starters, we believe that 1:1 training will yield the best results. We utilize this approach in both training of our physical therapists as well as treatments for our clients. At Results Physiotherapy, we believe that one-to-one training and connection when developing new skills and expanding our expertise in physical therapy is essential to making sure that we provide the best care possible to all of our patients and clients.
First, all of our new clinicians that join our team will be required to complete a one-year tutorial program that is immersed in orthopedic care. In addition to obtaining a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, our team is required to complete a 3-year post-doctoral certification program.
At Results, we specialize in manual therapy, which is a hands-on method of physical therapy that alleviates pain and limited motion by creating passive movements in the joints and soft tissue. We have seen incredible results when adding manual therapy into our personalized treatment programs for our patients. In order to perform these specialized techniques, our clinicians must complete their Manual Therapy certification as well as complete additional coursework to master additional physical therapy techniques.
This attention to detail and commitment to care is what sets our team of physical therapists apart from other physical therapy providers. We understand that to provide the best care to our clients, we need to continually enhance and pursue new knowledge throughout our physical therapy career, which is why we’re so passionate about making continuing education such a big part of our philosophy here at Results Physiotherapy.
Clinical rotations take place during the two final years of a physical therapists’s doctorate program. Students who complete a clinical rotation at Results receive hands-on training experience in a medical environment aimed to take students into the field and out of the classrooms to gain real-world experience.
We want to properly equip our students with exceptional knowledge in manual therapy skills, differential diagnosis, clinical reasoning, prescription of therapeutic exercises, and application of care treatments. We base our trainings on evidence-based mobilization techniques and unique treatments that have been proven successful with our patients. Our team is incredibly hard-working and this high-quality care is a reflection of our expert clinical instructors.
Another great opportunity for us to truly impact our patients and clients is the fact that we take great pride in helping educate all of our students throughout their clinical rotation on the importance of each step of the physical therapy journey.
