One of the great things about living in Memphis is that there is no shortage of sights to behold. From the historical landmarks to the museums and everything in between, there are plenty of things to observe throughout the city. Whether you’re a history buff looking to take in some amazing landmarks including Graceland and Lorraine Motel, or you’re looking for something the whole family can enjoy like the Memphis Zoo, there is something for everybody.
Memphis is one of the biggest cities in Tennessee with roughly 650,000 people and there is plenty of free entertainment. On any given day, there are fun activities throughout the city ranging from concerts to festivals. The artistic scene for the city has really taken root over the last several years as urban artists have traveled to the city to create beautiful murals and spice up some of the neglected areas to drive new foot traffic and tourism to the region.
While these beautiful murals have certainly driven the young crowd in to get a cool photo for their social media, they’ve also helped to increase the number of other sources of entertainment for the city and its denizens. Free events and entertainment options populate the city on any given night to target the busy foot traffic and keep them in the city for longer periods of time with the potential to drive more business in the future.
The revitalization of Memphis is also driving a younger crowd which always gets the attention of businesses that are looking to invest in the region. These new businesses that enter the market often try to test out new products and ideas for restaurants, beverages, sports venues, and more. The younger demographic is great for the area as it helps spur on new commitments to the city in once-abandoned or forgotten areas including the Memphis Pyramid.
