Blog

Happy Therapist Thursday! We are so excited to introduce you to one of our awesome PT’s from Kentucky, meet Hilary!

Hilary Wilson, PT, DPT, COMT, OCS

Which Results clinic do you work/have you worked at?

I currently work in our Georgetown, KY clinic, however worked in Murfreesboro for about 7 years prior to transferring back home to Kentucky in March 2020.

What is your role?

I am a Staff PT as well as Clinical Educator for the Lexington District.

How long have you been with Results?

I have been with the company for 8 years.

What made you want to become a physical therapist?

I spent my fair share of time in PT growing up do to injuries sustained in gymnastics. I always appreciated the work my PTs did for me to get me back to doing what I loved as quickly as possible and also enjoyed the dynamic environment of a PT clinic. I wanted the opportunity to work with athletes and felt like PT was a great way to do that while also being able to improve the quality of life of those I had the opportunity to work with.

What’s your favorite part about your job?

From a treatment perspective, I love the ability interact with a wide variety of people throughout the day. I enjoy that as PTs we have the time to get to know our patients on a personal level and not just from the medical side.

I have to say though, that my most favorite part of my job is from the Clinical Educator roll. I thoroughly enjoy working with our new grads and getting to experience those “aha” moments with them as the pieces of the puzzle begin to come together. I love that through this roll I am not only able to impact the lives of the patients I treat directly, but also indirectly through the therapists that I am able to mentor and teach.
